It's been a while!

Wow I've really been neglecting this blog (I'm so sorry!) things have been a little busy and I've just not found the time to sit down and write! We have got some very exciting things going on behind the scenes that I just can't wait to share with you all! 

If you have previously read my blog posts you'll know I was running Ivy Grey Interiors in my spare time and still working a full time job. Well something very exciting has happened since my last blog.. I have quit my full time job! I must admit it's possibly the scariest thing I've ever done. As someone who is not the most confident person in the world and really does struggle to believe in themselves. I must admit even I was a little proud of myself when I handed in my resignation. I still can't quite believe it, it's a very strange feeling not having to answer to anyone and be your own boss! I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually!

Working full time and running a business was possibly one of the most challenging things I've faced. It meant every evening and weekend was spent packing orders, taking photographs, ordering stock, answering customer emails. You name it I did it (and still do!). But I would do it all 100% times over as it's literally changed my life. If you would have told me almost 3 years ago I would have quit my full time job I never would have believed you (I'd have probably laughed!)

But here I am. If someone out there is reading this and doubting themselves that they can't do something, I'm proof you can do it! You don't have to be the smartest person in the room, you just have to be willing to put in the hours, work hard, learn from your mistakes (I'm still making them) and believe in yourself (just a little bit for now will do). It doesn't happen overnight (I know that now Jack) but slowly things do fall into place and changes will happen! If you've got a goal, an idea or just a dream. Don't sleep on it, have a go, take a chance! You never know what might happen!
